Ashanti is playing at the moment. 'Rock With Me' this one is called. I borrwed her album off Bates a while ago, but was largely unimpressed with it. Too much Ja Rule. But I like this song, so I leeched the mp3.
Couple of pints down the Cumby last night, which is always good for a laugh. I enjoy the company down there, and the 'no angry music' policy suits me to a tee. Griff and I were doing our drunkard impressions, which always cracks me up no end. I enjoy my mid-week pints, it helps me soldier on the rest of the week to the weekend!
Got an email from Jesse last night. Jesse runs the Chant Down Sound System in Melbourne, and we have been in touch over the last 3-4 months in regards to reggae/dancehall in Australia and stuff. Now he is importing tunes, so I buy off him every opportunity I get. Anyways, he wrote me because he checked out my new dancehall mix, and gave me some great feedback, which I was chuffed with. He expressed more interest in getting me over to Melbourne to play @ Deep 11 (the club night they have every month), so I'm getting really excited at that prospect. The pictures he sent me from the last one were all class, and the placed looked rammed to the rafters!
Not much else is news at the moment. My fucking right wrist is killing me from all this mouse/keyboard work, so I think I need to spend a few of those 5 days away from the bloody computer to give my wrist a chance to get better!
Apparently Dad arrived safe and sound in Townsville, which is good. He's off to Sydney after Easter to start his new job with Cat. I have money on the fact he will be back in Adelaide before the year is out. Even mum was giving me good odds haha...
Beenie Man 'Party Hard' now on the winamp player. Like this tune. Shame it didn't come out as a single, cos it's quite a good party jam!
I was 'unsuspended' from RA yesterday. Didn't hear from anyone on there, Linh had to tell me. So back now stirring up the ravers with my 'opinions' and 'perspectives'. I should probably grow up and start acting like an adult sometime soon...but not right now :)
