Entry: Anchovies May 31, 2004

Just finished a Dominos Pizza Supreme with Anchovies. Good pizza. Bit full now *burp*

Sunday's show was, to put it bluntly, fucking stonking! Cris played some wicked garage to kick the proceedings off, then a likkle bashment and some classics from myself accompanied by some mad funny toasting from G Swizzle! FOOOOOOOOOORWAAAAAARD! hahaha I can just picture people in their cars or listening to the radio at home going 'what the FUCK was all that about?!' hahaha mayhem!

Had an excellent time selecting the tunes for the show, and I know Griff had fun doing the mic ting! Hope to go on again soon! Just between you and me, I think the 'Red Alert' riddim is a Soca riddim in disguise! It has the whistles and the 4x4 kicks! I love Soca. I need more Soca records. Actually, I need more money to buy more records. Hrm.

Cris was talking about running a weekly garage/bashment night in a little place in the west end of Hindley St, the name of which escapes me right now. Anyway, apparently the club is downstairs in the basement of some building, and has that 'underground' feel to it - You know, one of them places round a corner and down some stairs that you only know about cos a mate of yours who knows someone who has been there and said it was wicked. Word of mouth things. I hope Cris gets the ball rolling on this, cos I would love to select there! Get some girls dancing :)

Friday night I was lucky enough to warm up Mojo West with some irie reggae vibes followed by some grinding dancehall. Played 2 hours all up which was cool - gave me a chance to stretch the tunes out and get the mixing spot on. I got a nice response to the 'No Letting Go'/'Crazy In love' Diwali Riddim mix I like to do! A few girls dancing to that one :) Wish there had been more people there, but I'm sure the next one wil be busy!

Didn't see Pab till about 12:30 when me, Linh and Tony decided to make a move. I know Griff and Lex were at Smugglers, but cos I'm a putz, I didn't know where Fowlers was, so I didn't go down to check out the launch =/ Sorry Griff and Lex!

Work sucked ass this afternoon. Just 'problem' customers, you know. Like, I wasn't abused or anything, but each customer seemed to have more of an attitude than the next. I don't why people think people who work on helpdesks are miracle workers, but yes, there are times when your computer WONT work and I CANT fix it. Yes, I can try to help you, but if you don't stop whinging, how can I possibly start helping you?

I'm glad Stav agreed with Scott and I about not supporting non-internet related problems anymore - perhaps people will start thinking for themselves in the future. Ever since Stav said it was ok to tell people the things we don't support, I must have told like 10 people the following line: 'I'm sorry, we are a support desk for internet related problems. Unfortunately we do not have the resources nor the man power available to teach you how to use your computer over the phone. Every single Windows program comes with a help file, so I suggest reading that, and if you have any further problems, contact your local computer shop'. One guy wanted me to tell him how to send an email! Another wanted to know how to install Spybot, and another how to update his Antivirus! These programs are DESIGNED so people like YOU can use them, so use a bit of grey matter and when in doubt RTFM!

Rar.

Feeling better now. Heh. Sometimes you just have to let it out.

Not much else is happening. Lexy said I don't update this enough, but like I told her, there's not too much going on with me right now.

Wishing it was Friday at the moment. I like my sleep-ins.
